Peter began his 30+ years in the health insurance industry with one of the pioneering managed care companies in the country, US Healthcare. He held increasing levels of responsibility in sales and national accounts before finishing his carrier career with Healthnet as a Regional Director.

Prior to becoming a broker, Peter worked with two start up organizations pioneering the use of credit scoring and health risk and early web-based benefits administration systems respectively. Once he became a broker, Peter focused on helping mid-size employers better understand their claims risk and alternative funding options.

Before joining Meeker Sharkey & Hurley in 2019, Peter was the Senior Consultant at the NIP Group advising a large regional PEO on their healthcare purchasing and high-risk retention issues. He was a Senior Consultant at Corporate Synergies and a Vice President with Marsh & McLellan Agency helping mid-size employers better understand their claims utilization and controlling long term costs. Peter’s focus has been largely in non-profits, financial and educational institutions. He is a frequent speaker on various health care trends.

Peter is a graduate of Montclair State University and has two grown sons and resides with his wife in Wayne NJ.
